London and the wider UK are currently subject to nationwide social restrictions - a 'national lockdown' - designed to reduce the impact of COVID-19.

This 'lockdown' began in January 2021 and is expected to last at least until the spring.

This means:
- everyone must stay home when possible
- work from home if you can
- go to work if you can't work from home (e.g. for filming)
- restaurants, bars, non-essential retail, schools etc are closed
- hotels are open to business travellers but closed to tourists

The UK government's lockdown page has the full definition and latest rules.

The UK government has agreed that filming can continue during 'lockdown'.

For production this means:
- shoots must follow safety guidelines agreed between the industry and the government
- crew, equipment, studios, locations and all key suppliers are available
- pre-production is done from home when possible
- shoots are allowed in studios, private locations and public spaces (subject to the usual permitting process)
- clients and agency can attend

We're confident we can safely answer most briefs, apart from live crowd scenes.

COVID testing is now available for everyone who will attend the shoot.

We are trained in COVID safe production management by the UK's top film safety consultants.

During pre-production and on shoots we implement industry-leading COVID production safety protocols, including the use of H&S officers, COVID supervisors and unit medics as appropriate. We also use a 'bubble' or 'pod' system to safeguard personnel and to ensure production resilience and continuity should a suspected case arise.

As with all aspects of production, we find creative solutions to best achieve the brief while maintaining a safe working environment.

We take very seriously our responsibility to safeguard our clients, cast, crew, the wider community and the production itself.

For those on your team who don't attend the shoot, we can offer remote online monitoring. It is now common on shoots in London - even when some agency and client attend in person.

For productions where no-one travels to the UK, we can offer a full remote solution. We can supply top local directors and DOPs to either lead the shoot for you or act as on-set proxies for your own director and DOP monitoring online.

At time of writing, these are the rules for international travel to London or elsewhere in England:
- You will be expected to test negative before travelling.
- Anyone arriving from outside the UK will need to self-isolate for 10 days.
- After 5 days in self-isolation, you can take a test. If the result is negative, you can stop self-isolating.
- Anyone (except British nationals or residents) who has been in or through Portugal, South America or any of these countries in the 10 days before travelling will not be allowed into the UK.

Please always consult your travel agent and check the latest rules on entering the UK before booking travel and again before departing.
